If you're shopping for furniture in Modesto, the Ashley Store is a top destination. Known for stylish, affordable home furnishings, Ashley Furniture offers everything from sofas to bedroom sets. But with so many options, how do you make the best choice? This guide walks you through what to look for, how to save money, and common pitfalls to avoid. Whether you're furnishing a new home or upgrading a room, these practical tips will help you shop smarter at the Ashley Store in Modesto.
What to Look for When Shopping at Ashley Store in Modesto
Before heading to the store, know your needs. Measure your space and bring dimensions. Ashley offers a wide range of styles—from modern to traditional. Pay attention to materials: solid wood frames are more durable than engineered wood. Check the cushion fill: high-resilience foam lasts longer. Also, inspect the fabric. Performance fabrics resist stains and are great for families. In the Modesto store, you can test pieces in person. Sit on sofas, open drawers, and check the feel. Don't rush; take your time to compare.
How to Find the Best Deals at Ashley Store in Modesto
Ashley often runs sales, especially during holidays like Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Black Friday. Sign up for their email list to get exclusive offers. Also, check the clearance section in the Modesto store for floor models or discontinued items. You can snag up to 50% off. Another tip: ask about financing options. Ashley offers 0% APR for qualifying customers. But read the fine print—late fees can be high. Also, consider buying a package (e.g., living room set) for extra savings. Compare prices online before you go, but remember that shipping costs may apply if you order online.
Common Mistakes to Avoid When Buying Furniture at Ashley in Modesto
One big mistake is ignoring the return policy. Ashley has a 30-day return policy, but items must be in original condition. Assembly is another issue—many pieces require assembly, so factor in time or cost for professional help. Don't forget to measure doorways and hallways to ensure your new furniture fits. Also, avoid impulse buying. Just because something looks good in the showroom doesn't mean it works in your home. Take photos and measure twice. Lastly, check reviews for specific items. Some pieces may have quality issues. The Modesto store staff can help, but do your own research.
