How to Choose the Right Bassett Furniture for Your Home
When shopping at Bassett, follow these steps:
- Measure your space: Bring room dimensions and door widths to ensure the furniture fits through hallways and doorways.
- Consider your lifestyle: If you have kids or pets, opt for performance fabrics (e.g., Crypton or Sunbrella) that resist stains and wear.
- Test comfort: Sit on sofas and chairs for at least 10 minutes to assess cushion support. Bassett offers different cushion fills (feather, foam, or a blend).
- Check warranty: Bassett provides a limited lifetime warranty on frames and springs, and a 1-year warranty on fabrics and cushions. Ask for details before purchasing.
Common Mistakes to Avoid When Buying Bassett Furniture
Many shoppers make these errors:
- Ignoring delivery fees: Bassett charges a delivery fee based on order size and distance. For Dublin, expect around $99–$199 for standard delivery. In-home setup and packaging removal cost extra.
- Skipping the clearance section: The Pleasanton store often has floor models and discontinued items at 30–50% off. Ask a sales associate about current deals.
- Not verifying stock: Some items are made to order and may not be in stock. Always confirm availability before visiting.
- Overlooking financing options: Bassett offers 12-month no-interest financing if paid in full within the term. But be careful: missing a payment can trigger deferred interest.
