Whether you're furnishing a new apartment or upgrading your living room, this guide will help you find the best options, avoid common pitfalls, and make smart buying decisions.
Where to Buy Ashley Furniture in Schaumburg
There is no standalone Ashley Furniture store in Schaumburg, but you can find Ashley products at Ashley Furniture Homestore locations nearby and through authorized dealers. The closest Homestore is in Bloomingdale (about 15 minutes away). Additionally, Furniture Row in Schaumburg carries a selection of Ashley furniture. For the largest selection, visit the Bloomingdale store at 350 W Army Trail Rd. Check online inventory before you go to ensure the items you want are in stock.
How to Choose the Right Ashley Furniture for Your Home
Ashley offers many collections, from modern to traditional. Start by measuring your room and doorways. Use painter's tape to outline the furniture's footprint on the floor. Key parameters to consider: fabric type (performance fabrics are best for families), cushion fill (high-resiliency foam lasts longer), and frame construction (kiln-dried hardwood frames are more durable). Avoid buying a sofa that is too deep for your space—Ashley's sofas often have a depth of 38-42 inches.
Real Shopping Tips to Save Money and Avoid Mistakes
Many shoppers overpay because they skip comparison shopping. Tip 1: Always ask about floor model discounts (often 10-20% off). Tip 2: Sign up for the Ashley Furniture email list for a 10% off coupon. Tip 3: Delivery fees vary—ask for a detailed breakdown. Common mistake: assuming all pieces in a collection are in stock. Verify lead times for special orders (often 4-8 weeks). Avoid buying a full set without testing the comfort of each piece.
Delivery and Assembly: What to Expect
Ashley offers standard delivery (curbside) and in-home delivery with setup. In Schaumburg, in-home delivery typically costs $99-$149. Assembly is extra. To save money, consider curbside delivery and assemble yourself. However, for large items like sectionals, professional assembly is worth it. Check the delivery window—weekends fill up fast. Always inspect the furniture upon delivery before signing.
