Where to Find Ashley Furniture in Manchester, MO
There are no standalone Ashley Furniture HomeStores directly in Manchester, but several nearby locations and authorized retailers carry Ashley products. The closest full-service Ashley HomeStore is in Des Peres, about 10 minutes away. Additionally, big-box stores like Furniture Row and local independent retailers often stock Ashley collections. Before you go, check the store’s website to confirm they have the specific line you want. Calling ahead can also save you a wasted trip.
How to Choose the Right Ashley Furniture Store
Not all stores offer the same selection or pricing. When shopping for Ashley Furniture in Manchester, MO, consider these factors:
- Authorized vs. Third-Party: Authorized stores (like Ashley HomeStore) have the full catalog and often run exclusive promotions. Third-party retailers may offer discounts but limited inventory.
- Showroom Experience: Visit the store to test comfort and see finishes in person. Lighting in showrooms can be different from your home, so ask for swatches.
- Return Policy: Understand the store’s return policy before buying. Some stores charge restocking fees or only offer store credit.
- Price Matching: Ask if the store matches competitors’ prices. Many will if you show a current ad.
Tips for Getting the Best Deals on Ashley Furniture
Ashley Furniture frequently runs sales, but you can maximize savings with these strategies:
- Shop Holiday Sales: Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Black Friday offer deep discounts. Sign up for email alerts from local stores.
- Check Clearance Sections: Floor models or discontinued items can be 30-50% off. Inspect for damage before buying.
- Negotiate Delivery Fees: Many stores charge for delivery. Ask if they can waive or reduce the fee if you spend a certain amount.
- Use Credit Card Rewards: Some cards offer extra cashback on furniture purchases.
Avoiding Common Mistakes When Buying Ashley Furniture
New furniture buyers often overlook these pitfalls:
- Ignoring Dimensions: Always measure your space and doorways. Ashley’s website lists product dimensions, but bring a tape measure to the store to confirm.
- Forgetting About Assembly: Some pieces require assembly. Check if the store offers assembly service and at what cost.
- Overlooking Warranty: Ashley offers a limited warranty. Ask what it covers (e.g., frame, cushions) and how to file a claim.
- Not Reading Reviews: Look up specific product reviews on sites like Wayfair or Amazon to learn about durability and comfort.
Delivery and Assembly in Manchester, MO
Delivery options vary by store. Most Ashley HomeStores offer standard delivery within a week, but you can pay extra for next-day service. For large items, make sure the delivery team can navigate narrow stairs or tight corners. If you’re handy, you can save money by picking up items yourself, but check the store’s policy on loading assistance. For assembly, consider hiring a local handyman if the store’s fee seems high.
