What to Look For When Shopping at Ashley Furniture Victor NY
When you visit the Ashley Homestore in Victor (or nearby), focus on these key factors:
- Fabric and material: Choose between leather, microfiber, or fabric. Leather is durable but can be pricey; microfiber is stain-resistant and budget-friendly.
- Construction quality: Look for solid wood frames (not particle board) and dovetail joints on drawers. Avoid furniture with visible staples or uneven seams.
- Comfort and size: Test seating depth and cushion firmness. Measure your room dimensions beforehand to avoid buying pieces that are too large or small.
- Warranty and return policy: Ask about the manufacturer's warranty and the store's return timeframe. Many Ashley stores offer a 30-day return policy, but restocking fees may apply.
Common Mistakes to Avoid When Buying Ashley Furniture
Many shoppers make these errors:
- Not checking clearance items: The Ashley Outlet often has floor models at 30-50% off. Always ask if there are discounts on display pieces.
- Skipping online reviews: Search for specific product names on Google or Reddit. Some Ashley lines have known issues with fabric pilling or frame squeaking.
- Forgetting delivery costs: Ashley charges for delivery and assembly. In the Rochester area, delivery fees range from $80 to $150. Ask for a quote before purchasing.
- Ignoring color variations: Monitor and phone screens can distort colors. Request a fabric swatch or see the piece in person before ordering.
