If you're looking for Ashley Furniture in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, you're in luck. The Columbus area has several Ashley HomeStore locations within a short drive, plus authorized retailers that carry Ashley products. Whether you're furnishing a new home or upgrading a room, knowing where to go and what to look for can save you time, money, and hassle. This guide covers the nearest stores, practical shopping tips, and common pitfalls to avoid.
Nearest Ashley HomeStore Locations to Reynoldsburg
The closest Ashley HomeStore to Reynoldsburg is at 5969 E Main St, Columbus, OH 43213 — just about 10 minutes away via I-70 E. This store offers a full showroom with living room, bedroom, dining, and home office furniture. Another convenient option is the store at 1670 Polaris Pkwy, Columbus, about 20 minutes north, which tends to have a larger selection of clearance and floor models. Both locations have free parking and are open seven days a week. Check their website for current hours, as they can vary by location.
What to Expect When Shopping In-Store
When you visit, you'll find a wide range of styles from traditional to modern. The sales associates are generally helpful but not pushy. They can provide fabric swatches, explain warranty options, and help with measurements. Be prepared: the store is large, so set aside at least 1-2 hours to browse. If you have a specific piece in mind (like the popular Ashley Bolanburg dining set), call ahead to confirm it's in stock. Also, note that floor models may have slight damage, so ask about discounts on display items.
Online vs. In-Store: Which Is Better?
Buying online from Ashley Furniture's website offers convenience and often a wider selection, but you can't test comfort or see the true color. In Reynoldsburg, the in-store experience lets you sit on sofas, open drawers, and check sturdiness. If you find a lower price online, the store may match it — just ask. For large purchases, consider buying in-store to avoid delivery issues (online orders sometimes arrive damaged or with missing parts). If you do buy online, always read the return policy carefully.
Tips for Choosing the Right Furniture
Before you go, measure your room and doorways. Ashley furniture is often bulky, so a piece that fits in the showroom might not fit through your front door. Bring a tape measure and note the dimensions of the item you want. Also, check the material: many Ashley pieces use engineered wood and veneer, which are durable but can chip if not handled carefully. For high-traffic areas, choose performance fabrics like microfiber or leather that are easy to clean. Finally, always sit on sofas and chairs for at least 5 minutes to assess comfort.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
One big mistake is ignoring delivery fees and assembly costs. Ashley HomeStore charges for delivery, and it can add $100–$300 depending on the item and distance. If you can transport it yourself, ask about store pickup — some items can be loaded into your truck or SUV. Another common error is not checking the warranty. Most Ashley furniture comes with a limited warranty, but it doesn't cover normal wear and tear or fabric stains. Consider buying a protection plan if you have kids or pets. Also, avoid impulse buying: compare prices with other stores (like Big Lots or Value City Furniture) to ensure you're getting a fair deal.
